A true native Arizonian, Kyle has been a part of Sole Sports for 3 years, joining the team in 2015. Kyle’s wealth of running shoe knowledge stems from his 8 years in the running specialty industry. Before that he acquired 5 years of experience as a bartender.
Kyle started out running track as a freshman and sophomore in high school, but it was a coach who saw his strength was in longer distances that got Kyle into cross-country as a junior and senior. After high school, it didn’t take Kyle long to figure out that his talents lie in distances beyond 26.2 miles. Kyle jumped from the marathon distance and in 2010 finished the Javalina Jundred, held each October in Fountain Hills, Arizona. He also has a handful of 50-mile finishes under his belt, but it is his future running goals that leave all of us speechless. Kyle would one day like to move up to stage races and races with distances hovering around 200+ miles.
Kyle is a huge dog-lover and he just adopted the perfect training partner to join him on his runs - a 2-year-old, Australian Cattle Dog named Grizzly, who is up for any adventure Kyle plans.
When asked to tell us something about himself that not many people know, Kyle shared that at one time, he was a high-fashion model. We can also tell you that although Kyle is most often quiet, has a very quick wit when it comes to his sense of humor. You might not always see that side of him.
