I think my favorite race would have to be the Zane Grey 50 miler up near the Mogollon Rim outside of Payson. It's a 50-mile race, running from just south of Pine to just east of a town called Christopher Creek. It follows the extremely hilly and treacherous Highline Trail that has been around for more than 100 years. It's considered one of the toughest 50 milers around and it definitely felt that way. It was physically and mentally challenging and I felt it was a huge accomplishment to cross the finish line.
